We spent two weeks in this wonderful apartment. As one reviewer has already said, the photos don’t do the place justice. The apartment itself had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The air conditioning was excellent and much needed as we were there in July/August and it was very warm at night. During the day, if we weren’t out exploring on our Vespa, we spent all our time on the very large balcony. The views across the Cap and over towards Monte Carlo and the Italian coast are stunning. The view is constantly changing with new yachts arriving every day.
I’m surprised that not one reviewer has mentioned the pool. It’s fabulous! It is shared with other apartments in the block but most of the time we had it to ourselves.
The port of St Jean is just lovely with some great restaurants and bars and ideal for people watching. If you like fish, La Goelette along the front is well worth a visit.
The port itself is a very short walk from the apartment and there is a wonderful boulangerie and a supermarket selling just about everything you could possibly need.
We only used public transport to get to and from the airport but it was clear that buses are frequent and you can easily get into Nice or going the other way, Monte Carlo and Menton. If you do have your own transport driving the Corniches is a must, particularly the Grand Corniche. Go even higher up to the Fort de la Revère which looks down on the hill top village of Èze, St Jean Cap Ferrat and Nice. The other side of Monte Carlo is the beautiful village of Roquebrune and we’ll worth a visit; La Grotte & L’Olivier is lovely for lunch.
While we didn’t meet the owners of the property they kept in touch and were available if we had any questions. We had a truly wonderful stay and celebrated our first wedding anniversary here. We hope to return in the future.
