In early Dec, we stayed in a unit facing the harbor. Accurately described & depicted in the listing. You cannot beat the location, especially in the Summer. You can park & walk to everything in the Thames Street area in 10-15 minutes. Great bars/restaurants are within a 5 minute walk.
The unit's layout is odd, but fine for 2 people (or 4 - 2 adults + 2 kids) b/c you enter from the hall into the bedroom. If you have 4 people, the other 2 will be sleeping on the other side of the bedroom where the pull-out sofa bed is located. The bathroom is between the bedroom & the living space.
Beautiful view of the harbor from this unit. It is directly above the bar, but this is the 5th floor. We had no noise. It was December; no one was outside the bar at night. The windows do not open more than an inch, so I doubt that noise would be an issue, even in the summer.
There are some pipes running along the ceiling. They are for the room's sprinkler system, are unobtrusive & are no big deal.
The kitchen was well equipped for 4 people. Everything we used worked.
Parking is available, but tight. Instead of taking the ramp from Thames Street to park on the 2d level, suggest parking under the building b/c there is more room to maneuver in & out.
No fitness center, but it has free usage of the YMCA in Middletown. It's a great YMCA - pool and plentiful equipment of many varieties.
The staff were accommodating, but not locals & did not know where things were located.
