Set in a magical clearing of private woodland, on the Hampshire and Berkshire border Nr Newbury a historic market town, Jungle Tent is a huge six-meter double door bell tent which sleeps 2 adults and up to 4 children, in the style of a Jungle camp, with comfy scatter cushions, rugs, a double bed & fold out Z beds for the children, its own toilet, shower & sink nearby
Providing an excellent base to explore the area or just chill out in the calming peaceful atmosphere, guests have full access to the private woodland to explore, and children can build camps, play on the tyre swing and collect fallen wood for the fire pits.
The tent is hidden away in its own special little wooded clearing, with secret passages that the children and adults alike will adore, complete with unique wood sculptures. It is off grid so please be aware there is no electricity, but if you really feel your phone need charging, the owners are happy to plug it in their house!
There is an indoor wood burner as heating, plus a cooking station containing gas stove & BBQ, crockery, cutlery, pans, BBQ tools, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and bottled water (all water onsite is drinking water). The tent also has a cool box, & guests are welcome to top up their ice packs when needed.
Although we provide a everything you need for a lovely comfy glamping stay, we stay true to the camping vibe by drawing our guests outside with our outdoor seating, under cover cooking areas, seating areas, private bathrooms right next door and firepits. Children can makes their own beds with the fun Z beds that fold out so they can still sleep on the floor just like camping!
For larger groups we have a selection of 5 bell tents on site, please contact us should you wish to enquire around a group discount.
The local village of Woolton Hill has a shop, post office, three pubs within walking distance and a village market at the end of each month.
There are lots of things to see and do around Newbury; Highclere Castle aka Downton Abbey, 4 Kingdoms Adventure Farm Park, the National Trust nature reserve 'The Chase' and board walk, Newbury Racecourse, Museums and outdoor attractions including canal boat trips to Hungerford. There are also lots of lovely countryside walks and cycling trails surround the glamp site so there is plenty to do without having to drive anywhere.
Please note:
-There are free roaming birds and dogs on site that may approach your accommodation to say hello. If you are not happy with that this may not be a suitable site for you!
-Wood, charcoal or tea lights are not supplied guests must bring their own.
