「Our family's stay at Helen and Richie's property for the holidays was perfect. Waking up to views of the lake every morning, watching flocks of birds travel on the water and being surrounded by nature was all we could ask for. The house has all amenities provided in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. Location is convenient near shops, grocery, and restaurants in New Fairfield. The hosts were very responsive in communication and I appreciated them providing everything we needed. 」

「We enjoyed three nights at the cottage. It's beautifully decorated, comfortable, warm and welcoming - a perfect home base for nearby hikes and exploring the area. The large yard was perfect for playing soccer with our child. Renters note: we also had a fabulous meal at nearby restaurant Fern. 」

「This property was very new and clean. It had everything you needed. Every room was comfortable and had its own TV. The open layout of the main floor made for great socializing and eating, and the 180 views of the frozen lake (in February) were beautifully serene. Would definitely come again and maybe next time in the summer! Thanks you for sharing this lovely property.」

「We made happy memories over a cold January weekend. We cooked together, sat around the fire, played games and dozed in comfortable beds with high quality linens. We enjoyed the view of the water and the twinkling lights on the property at night. The steam shower was divine. If you like cooking, bring good knives, a veggie peeler and good pans. Plenty of glassware and dishes and some cookware provided. 」

「The house on the lake is clean and very cute. A few things to keep in mind… The stairs to the loft are VERY steep and VERY narrow. So both adults and small children may struggle to get up and down, especially with any type of luggage. There are no closets or dressers for your clothes so maybe bring hangers and a hook for behind the door. Everything else was perfect. 」

「My girlfriends and mine were looking for a nice weekend getaway to unwind. The property was very clean. The basement level seemed a little more disheveled than pictured and very cold. Unfortunately we didn’t spend any time down there. The rest of the property was wonderful and spotless! Beds were comfortable.」

「Check-in and check-out were efficient, and the front desk folks were polite and helpful. The Bistro had a nice menu and accommodating staff. Parking garage on-site was very convenient, and access to I-84 on departure was simple. My only concern was finding a VERY slippery shower floor. Before I let my wife use it, I put down a bath towel. Not so great for housekeeping, but my wife said it was wonderful.」

「とりたてて観光スポットがあるわけでもないのに、この街にはモーテルがとても多いです。値段も近隣に比べて安く、stapleやtargetなど、大型店舗が多いです。 食べるお店もまあまああり、車で移動中の旅ならまずはオススメではないでしょうか？町の雰囲気は、街道からちょっと入るとこじんまりとしていて、住宅が密集している感じ。日本の横浜郊外のようなイメージです。ハドソン川沿いを観光したかったのでこちらに宿泊しました。もう行くことはないですが、まずまずの宿泊だったと思います。」
