To start, the condo was fantastic. The photos didn’t do it justice. It was much larger and more updated than I expected. Our group of 7 had plenty of room. Every room truly had a great ocean view and we enjoyed the sounds of the ocean each day as we got started and wound down.
We did, however, find communication with the host to be a bit unusual. We ran into a few minor issues upon arrival which we contacted the host about. While inconvenient, they weren’t major and we were gracious. We were fairly put off when a few days into our stay we were contacted and told that an owner reported that our children had poured water from the balcony which could lead to a $300 fine. While if true, it shouldn’t have happened- It seemed over the top to threaten a fee. Especially for something that posed no danger to person or property and other units were much more disruptive. This made our minor issues more annoying. When we reported a shattered coffee pot the owner requested photos, model numbers, etc but never apologized or replaced it. When we reported the Wi-Fi not working she didn’t seem to believe us and seemed like we were inconveniencing her to resolve the issue. She never apologized for the 3 days we went without Wi-Fi or thanked us for rearranging our plans so we could be present for the repairman. Then she asked us to detail what the technician said and requested photos. We’ve encountered much worse issues that were less of a big deal based on how they were handled by the host.
