We were pleased overall with the house and felt warm and safe. So many people have commented on the limited seating in the living area, but no one has mentioned that the seating isn't very comfortable for older people. Unless you sit on a kitchen chair, you may have a hard time getting comfortable or even getting out of the one chair. The small couch is also not easy to sit in unless you are young and flexible. How nice it would be to have an upholstered chair with a straight back and maybe an ottoman so you could sit by the fire and relax.
Most of the amenities are as described. Many coffee drinkers prefer mugs and there was only one. The dishes were either large plates or saucers. We did see some Chinese plates, but it would be great just to have some normal Ikea salad plates and mugs.
A real blender would be nice. The 2 immersion blenders are okay, but wouldn't handle frozen ingredients very well for smoothies.
Nice washer and dryer, but a bit loud for the occupants of the downstairs rooms. Toilet paper is pretty awful and thin, so bring your own. Also bring bar soap or body wash and a few extra wash cloths.
The deer and the ambience are the best features!
