This property is a true three star budget hotel. Friendly enough staff and convenient location. Room was very small, shower went hot and cold randomly, noisy at night/throughout day and no A/C. With that being said, we are doing Europe on a budget and the location was extremely convenient (8 min walk to main square). Would recommend for short stay.

Hotel is situated near Karlsplatz in centre of city. Location means you can easily walk to a lot of places and is also close to transport. Check-in is from 2 p.m. Staff we encountered were all pleasant.

Do not expect to stay in a luxary hotel. It is a very simple hotel with great location. During 4 days stay in Munich, I walked everywhere and the metro, train station is one minute walk. The central train station is also 10 minute walk. They serve breakfast for 15 Euro. Great location for first time visitors

They let me book the hotel after 11pm and when I got there the main gate was locked and no one answered the door . We had no access to the room . The worst experience ever .

Quaint city centre hotel very close to Karlsplatz and Marianplatz - with U-bahn staircase literally outside. Hotel is basic but has what is needed. Bathroom was recently refurbished. The room could do with a small kettle/tea things. Breakfast quite healthy with professional staff.

Central location. The bed was hard I saw a big roach in the room. The hot water was good. You pay what you get. Next time I will stay somewhere else.

This hotel provides excellent value with an ideal location just steps from the Munich Hauptbahnhof and the Old Town. The room was on the small side but it was spotlessly clean and faced an interior courtyard of sorts which kept the street noise down considerably. The room also featured a window that could actually be opened for fresh air which I prefer at night. The young men who staffed the front desk could not have been more helpful. They spoke excellent English and helped me locate a nearby urgent care center after I suffered a bicycle crash and broke some bones. Not an ideal end to a vacation but the help was greatly needed and much appreciated. So book the Hotel Daniel, you can’t go wrong.

Excellently situated
Hotel Daniel is excellently situated by the main Christmas Market street and walking distance to lots of bars, restaurants and cafes. Hotel room and corridors were clean. The bathroom was a little small but adequate for us. The dining room was clean and pleasantly decorated and the service was excellent and friendly. We enjoyed our three day trip.

This place could not be better located. It is at the top of a Karlsplatz(Staachus) escalator so you arrive from the HBF or airport with having to go outside. The staff is very helpful with very goid English. Rooms are very clean and modern and the shower was slmost too powerful. Great base to cover Munich and Bavaria by train. Supermarket next door and at the bottom of the Staachus escalator.

Our room was super spacious and comfortable and being in the back of the building was quiet. The staff were amazing from helping with late check in, lifting bags and providing helpful advice and organising a taxi. We were there during the Munich snow storm and the staff went out if tgeyrvway to help us. Thank you.

The room was in good condition, but I was next to the sliding door from the balcony and it was kind of noisy when people where coming in. Also the walls are not well insulated so make sure you bring earplugs with you. Overall, the room was quite clean and comfortable.

Very helpful staff. I was exhausted from my flights when I checked in and the reception man spoke perfect English so I didn’t have to deploy my sub par German. The escalator from Karlsplatz (Staachus) underground metro complex takes you feet from the their front door. Super convenient in this neighborhood, which is a bit rough around the edges Shower did not leak a drop onto the floor and was nice and hot. Unusual in my budget hotel experience.

Room was clean and great location. Staff was great. Very minimal and really noisy at night. Stayed 2 nights and used ear plugs but the noise level was unbelievable. Not sure if it was noisy employees in the hallways unaware or if it was outside or both. Because of this, I wouldn’t stay there again because the noise all night was pure torture.

Don’t stay there!
Don’t, under any circumstances, stay at the Hotel Daniel. We were booked to stay for four nights but only stayed there for two nights before finding a different hotel. There was an odd smell about the hotel, we were woken by the sounds of breakfast being prepared and the lack of air conditioning made it difficult to sleep. The worst thing about the hotel was the sound of the nightclub next door. The sounds through the walls, and the vibrations shaking the beds, made it impossible to get to sleep. When we enquired at reception about moving rooms, we were told that the nightclub would be heard throughout the whole hotel. I have never stayed in such a terrible hotel before. My advice to any would-be guests is to keep well away!
