「Perfectly decent pub accommodation, in a separate building set back from the pub which is ideal in case is worried about noise. Fairly basic facilities (note no toiletries are provided) but a nice touch having a small fridge with free bottled water and proper milk for tea/coffee!」

「On traditionally bleak winters day in south west Dorset this hotel was warm and welcoming, spacious and well presented rooms. Breakfast was well cooked and served promptly. A strong 9/10 because although you should never judge a book by the cover, this hotel lets it self down with it's exterior presentation」

「Lovely friendly welcome from the hosts. Pre-ordered breakfast for the following day and then settled down for the evening in a huge room with comfy seats, a big bed and a lovely bright and clean bathroom. Breakfast was just as promised, fresh, local and really tip top. Sat chatting with the hosts over breakfast watching the horse liveries turning out for the morning. Very very pleasant. 」

We used the bar and restaurant during our stay and found the food very good and the service excellent. Staff were friendly, and the breakfast was tasty with lots of choice.
