On a hillside overlooking olive groves, this is a beautiful cottage in a quiet location with great views. Jane, the owner, was welcoming and really helpful. The photos pretty much do this place justice - it really is a delightful spot, well located for local towns like Montefrío, but also for longer trips. We had two day trips to Granada and Córdoba. Its also a great place for just relaxing. The cottage is well equipped with most facilities and kitchen utensils etc that you need. The decor is rustic and totally appropriate, so don't expect space-age gadgets, and the interior is suitably quirky (including low-hanging beams for tall people to watch out for!). The twin room is off the main double bedroom, and the other double bedroom and bathroom is separate from the main house (by about a 10 foot walk, not totally isolated), a configuration that could work well for families or groups. As well as the pool area, there are effectively three other terrace areas for seating and/or dining, on three levels. Whilst we had fine weather, it was too cool to try out the pool on our trip. I'm sure it is great in summer. We also appreciated the log burner on chilly spring nights.
This is a really great place to stay, and I'd happily return if we were revisiting the area.
