"The cottage is modern, beautiful and clean. The living room is spacious and well equipped with kitchen facilities. The attic with beds has a very low ceiling and so one needs to be careful with not getting bumped on the head. The stairs to the attic is very narrow. We requested for sleep arrangements but was not entertained and would have appreciated an explanation. Overall, it is a nice stay!"

"A good hotel easy to locate, a fair walk from the harbour area (best food options). Spacious room with separate toilet from shower. Only niggle was no provision of a teaspoon; i borrowed one from the restaurant on my first day but this was removed by room service so i had to get another the next day (tricky to stir coffee / remove tea bags etc)"

I took this photo at Sørvágsvatn in the Faroe Islands! This isn't a view of the lake itself or the iconic cliffs. But a view of lesser known cliffs right by the lake itself. And the body of water you see is the deep sea :). And the lake was to the right of me. To see both at the same time is a very cool sight, as well. But I like this close-up view the best. Can really get a feel of how otherworldly it is! As the classic views of the lake. I hiked about 4 KM to get to Sørvágsvatn and it was definitely worth it! Some other tourists as well, but not nearly as many as the peak of summer. I'm glad I went on that late August day! One of my favorite memories of 2018.
