「旧市街の中心地に立地する素敵なホテルです。 部屋数も少なく静かで、邸宅に招かれた雰囲気を楽しめます。 日本語で挨拶してくださるスタッフもいて安心して滞在できました。 暑いGalleの街歩きに疲れても、すぐに戻って来られる立地の良さです。 次回は2階のお部屋に宿泊してみたいです。 」

The regular rooms are evocative and very comfortable, with choice of fan and air conditioning. The lack of a television is more than compensated for by the eclectic collection of books in rooms, and communal areas. 「Excellent/wonderful. Beautiful facility/setting and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast was the best I had in all of Sri Lanka. The dinner choices were wide ranging an excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. About a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the Fort. Highly recommend. 」

「They forgot what I was asking in advance. There were two guys on the front desk. One of the guy tried to solve the problem but another one was very bad behavior. After all they gave discount the cost, but I did not want the discount. I just wanted them to apologize unreservedly when I asked them why my order was forgotten. It is common sense behavior against foreigners. They are friendly but they do not know international manners and they say many excuse.」

「The hotel is ina quiet part of Unawatuna. You wake to the sound of the waves. Peacocks and moneys are all around. The pool is lovely and restaurant has good food/ drinks and service. The reception staff were fabulous and took care of all my needs. 」

「One of few hotels with its almost private beach. Boutique but a little rough around the edges - so what if nothing is perfect - this isn’t Maldives. Great food, really friendly staff. No loud music and respectful guests. They are offering a great product, that’s why guests return. Easy tuktuk to busier area and boats to take you elsewhere. We were genuinely sad to leave. 」

「Nice facility, our room was fairly unique with some fake rock. Our daughter's room had a cool outdoor bathtub. You get great use of two other Thambapanni resorts in the area. Rooms are large and interesting. Very musty. The air conditioner needed to be maintained to keep mildew out. Clothes drying rack, nice bathroom and good breakfast. Super accommodating staff. Unawatuna is a bit of a Russian tourist trap. Aggressive tuktuk drivers and merchants. Jungle Beach nice but crowded. The Sea Waves...
