The motel was clean and seemed to be maintained alright, thought it was very dated. That's about all I can say was good.
Everything about the place felt as though they took the absolutely cheapest option possible, with little or no consideration for the guests. The whole building felt lik a double-wide trailer. The floors were nothing but a thin piece of plywood of joists, with very thin, cheap, carpet that did nothing to deaden the sound.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable, it felt like a few cheap springs with a thin pad over the top. And the pillows were cheap, bulky foam that had not give and ended up giving me a sore neck. There were only 6 channels on the tv, most of them I think were UHF, and only one of the major networks. The tv itself was old 720p and low quality pictures.
The bath towels were tiny, about as thin as a paper towel and as soft as 80 grit sandpaper.
There was no front desk, you had to walk across the parking lot to a super club to check in or ask a question, as nobody ever picked up when I tried to call the front desk. If you weren't checked in my 8 pm, or needed entry after that, you were out of luck.
As for convenience and amenities, there were none, The motel is 5 miles from the nearest town, so you had nothing closeby, and what was in town closed by 8 pm. The Kwik Trip was the only thing that was open past 8.
All-in-all, this was a ridiculously bad, cheap motel. Like I said, it was clean, and that was about.
