Manila/Makati has to be the dirtiest place I’ve ever been. There are roaches in the room, when I told the front desk they acted shocked, saying they would send maintenance. Hours went by and no one ever came to fix the problems we had. It was only until we went down for a second time that they finally sent someone to check everything out. Throughout the trip we needed 2 different rooms, but looked at three which 2 of them had a massive roach infestation. A few hours after we checked in, me and my family noticed the roaches and tried switching rooms. They ended up showing us a room on the 5th floor but immediately after walking in we saw roaches. They told us they were out of raid but first thing in the morning they would bring it to our room… they never did. In room one the toilet didn’t work, it flooded and the towels were visibly dirty. I stayed up until 6 am killing roaches to let my kids get some rest, eventually I got so exhausted I had to wake my daughter up to start killing them while I try and sleep. We stayed for one miserable night in that room. The next day we switched to a room on the 3rd floor. There were only a few baby roaches. Not only was it so hot in the room, the air conditioning would only go down to 74 degrees, no matter what we did. We went down to ask for help and they would come up and say it will change in a few minutes… it never did. Outside the hotel was surrounded by beggars, homeless babies and adults, and stray animals. Don’t stay here!
