Third trip to Egypt (on the other two times, in organized trip). This time I bet to enjoy these places at my own. The first stop was Luxor and, with the intention of avoiding the tourist life, I decided to stay at this hotel on the west side.
I can not say more than good things.
Of course, for those looking for luxury or great amenities, this is not the place. For those who want to be in a genuine environment, with the people of that small town where there are hundreds of felucas and dahabiyas, and where people live at their own pace without paying too much attention to tourists.
The Gezira Garden Hotel is a small hotel with a real orchard of plants and trees. The pool is small but enough to cool off after visiting the temples. All the staff, especially Mohamed, the manager, is available for any order or help.
And very important: there is a bar with alcohol and restaurant.
At this time it was empty, so the prices were very good and the peace was unparalleled: just some foreigners living in the area who go to the hotel in the afternoon to socialize and have a beer.
To be discovered! Thank you!
