Let's get this adventure started in this hooptie motel. I booked a week before our first annual father n son fishing trip ( should of read the reviews ). When we got there to check in, we were giving 121 down stairs next to the office. Key card and readers barely worked. Finally got it to work, and as soon as we walked in smelled like some just smoked 2 cartons of cigarettes. Went and talked to the lady and told her that. So she switched my room to 131 and we went ok. Half the lights didn't work, big stain in the middle of the room. We tried to turn on the a/c ( with wires sticking out of it, made damn sure not to touch them ) but it kept resetting it self, so I unplugged it to see what's going on, and low and behold the plug was burned up ( burn marks all over it, and it was still plugged in) I left it unplugged and took a picture, and back to the office again, told her and showed the picture and said that's not gonna work. So we got room 133. It was a little better, but not much. The refrigerator didn't work, beds had to of been 15-20 yours old. Not comfortable at all. The a/c worked unless you turned below 70 then good luck. Only gave one big towel n two little towels. There was a red stay on the head board, told my son that's your hed. Lol. The door to go out to the car, the whole key card reader broke, so anyone can come in! Not safe. There is only one trash can in the whole room. There cheap, try putting more than one. If you don't have to, don't book at this motel!!!!

I booked a non smoking room. However it smelt so bad like weed and ciggs it gave us instant migraines. The pool was as cold as ice and so was the hot tub. Roaches were found in the bathroom and there wash trash in the drawers and stains all over the sheets and comforter. The curtains had rips in them. No remote for the tv. No towels. Only one wash rag. No soap and no trash can. I complained to manager and they moved us to a different room. Somewhat better except again, no remote. Small trash pieces all over the floor, behind night stands. The table was sticky and there was beer bottle caps in the dresser along with the SMOKE DETECTORS. But the WORST PART… the worst part about all of this.. BLACK MOLD growing above the bathroom sink. Now things already the second room we had been moved too, we were exhausted at this point. By the time I saw it, it was already 2 am and I wasn’t moving again due to needing to wake up at 4 to continue traveling. I took pictures. I wish I could post them on here. Needless to say, I should have booked elsewhere. Awful hotel, so not worth the money. Hopefully I’ll get a refund. Black mold is no joke.

Nice potential, but the smell is marijuana and cigarettes in the hallway was overwhelming. The ac unit is loud. Fixtures missing in the bathroom. Provided only one towel for the bath, and it looked dirty. Was charged $15 for incidentals but I tried to pay that in cash and was told it would be $150 by cash. No welcome, no info on breakfast.

$50 dollars a night, you get what you pay for. Property external doors not secure. Indoor Pool & hot tub not heated, gym closed perminatly, minimum towels avail, room fridge didn't get cold (3 days in 2 separate rooms).

Ended up not staying due to the fact that we ran into Weather and we’re going to not make it till about 2 o’clock in the morning they told me they would cancel my reservation and still charge me and then turned around and said well you can check in early 5 o’clock in the morning, but you would get charged for an early check-in fee so made no sense. We were there visiting for college for our kid. I stayed in touch with them every couple hours still adamant that if we couldn’t get there before two, then they was nothing they could do. We ended up staying at a different hotel was pretty nice. They were accommodating will not recommend your hotel.

Seems like an unsafe ghetto area. The price was cheaper than other hotels, so I expected the low quality. However, I did not appreciate the front desk asking for my email, gerting my address, and registering me--without my consent--for hotel chain membership.

We booked the room online and upon arrival they charged an additional $15 deposit for the room, if it was card, and if it was cash $150. The ice machine was broken, no do not disturb door hangers, and poor maintenance. The room wasn't clean, no microwave, and broken toilet seat. The security door was also broken so anyone could just wander in. The breakfast also left something to be desired. No variety. The gravy tasted like heavily salted Crisco, the apple juice was water, the eggs made me sick, and there was no meat. Same thing every morning.

Its was very dirty. Our TV didnt work and told the attendance and noone came to fix it. This was one of the worst experiences in my whole. I wont ever forget about the bad business i got from Day Inn South lubbock tx

I am not one who usually complains but this experience was terrible. Check in was easy but from there it went down hill. The room we originally were assigned to smelled of smoke, the bed sheets had hair on them plus a few other things. They moved us to a different room when I asked to be moved but in that room one bed had clean sheets and the other bed was like the orignal one. Towells were clean but 1 had huge holes in them, so I had request towells. The tv did not have a remote and was told that tvs today do not need one to operate. Never got it to work (hotel staff tried operating it to). The phone had no receiver, so you couldn't call the desk. On a plus side there were no bugs and the bathrooms in the rooms were clean. I get that the hotel is cheap in price but one would still think they would take pride in the property. It was really disappointing for in the past the hotel used to be so nice and pretty. We will never stay there again nor would we recommend it to anyone else.

This place was a nightmare. Nothing in the room was working. The refrigerator, microwave and TV were not functioning. I went down to the front desk more than 10 times asking them to fix it. They changed the batteries in the remote but it still didn’t work. They got the TV turned on but there was only one channel. I left to buy food and when I came back I asked if they were going to fix anything. The guy just stared at me and didn’t respond. They didn’t offer me another room or do anything for me. The ice machine was non operational as well. I want to be refunded for the entire stay at this motel. I booked the room in good faith, expecting the amenities advertised on the website would be available.
