Nice hotel in a lovely little village with stunning views. Unfortunately, there was torrential rain during our stay so we didn't manage to do any of the numerous walks that are available in the area. However, the hotel was cosy with real fires burning, great selection of wines, gins and beers and to top it off, fabulous food too!
The hotel looks just like the pictures and we had a perfect night away.
The reason I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the bathroom let it down. When paying prices like this I would expect a selection on individual miniature toiletries. Instead there was a dispenser attached to the wall that contained 'hair and body wash'. It is the sort of thing that is seen in budget hotels and was certainly not in keeping with the rest of the hotel and was not practical for somebody with long hair. Also, there was no bottled water in the room and neither was there a glass to get water from the tap. I used a tiny toothbrush glass and had to keep refilling it throughout the night. However, these are tiny niggles that could easily be recfied.. It has not put us off from returning to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone that's looking for a lovely country pub with great food and drink.
