「We chose this lodge hotel because all the other hotels nearer to Edinburgh was too expensive. But the location wasn’t convenient for those who don’t have a car. The first night, because it was Sunday, the closest train station’s train ended very early, and we had to use the farther station, Livingston South, instead of Livingston North. 「We spent 4 lovely nights at this hotel with a wonderful group of staff in every area including the big sister Hydro hotel up the hill nearby. We ate in the bar one evening having delicious soup starters and burgers with drinks for a reasonable £50 . The breakfast was buffet style with served hot full Scottish or vegetarian equivalent.
