Honestly, I wasn’t happy with the couch in the living room. It looked like it was from a homeless camp had holes in it, and seemed super dirty to sit on, and I also hated the fact that there were no window coverings on any of the windows, including above the garden tub. Which is one of the reasons why I wanted the house but when it came to night time when I needed to soak in the hot tub, but you could see right through the window from the 95 acre land that also housed six other cabins, so no telling who is staring at you taking a bath.

Great time celebrating a friend's upcoming wedding!
The house is excellent for hosting a big group. We had about 10 guys for a long weekend and this place did the trick. Plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked so we could make large meals. I really appreciated that there were 4 unique environments... the game garage, the open kitchen, the living area, and the fire pit. There is also a big patio and the bird feeders are a nice touch. There were other renters on the property but we had plenty of privacy and lots of space to stretch out. River access was beautiful (we drove) and lots of space to hike around. Veronica was very helpful and responsive!

Perfect house for large group!
Wonderful property. So much wildlife, a gameroom, the creek, and convenient to everything. Beautiful and well kept! Also appreciated the Wi-Fi service. The hostess is wonderful and accommodating.

Mountain Getaway
What a beautiful place for a family getaway! 15 grownups, peaceful surroundings. Had our sons wedding in the backyard under the trees with the hills as a backdrop. We really loved our stay. The house was clean and in great order. Noone close to bother us and not too far from a small town for supplies. Would love to return. Total tranquility. The Hostess was awesome with communication and definitely give her and the home a huge thumbs up!

Perfect for our winter get together.
My husband and I comfortably hosted 4 couples, a single lady, and 2 dogs for a 3 day stay here. We had several family from our neighboring property join us for meals so for me the large kitchen, island, extra ovens & refrigerators were what made our stay possible. We’re all boardgame & card fanatics so the large dining table accommodated our competitive obsession:) everything was as expected with the exception of the surprise ping pong & pool tables in the garage! (Take yr own pool ques tho.) I loved the add-on linens options which cut down my packing by half. The owner was able to accommodate a little later check out than normal giving us that last breath of nature before heading back to holiday craziness. We’ll be back for another “rest” soon. *****

This house is great for a weekend getaway with friends or family.
The Buffalo Creek House is spacious and was extra clean when we arrived. The location is great. Close to Garner State Park and Lost Maples State Park. Would definitely recommend staying at this house.

Great House
The house as perfect for our group of 12. There was a lot of space and plenty of sleeping areas. The house actually seemed nicer than posted pictures. Very private. On the negative side the checkin location points you to the wrong location and the house is not Frio river front. A creek runs behind the house but it is dry when we stayed. It still worked out great for our needs.

Beautiful home, but not convenient nor private river access
The house was beautiful & spacious. The beds were comfortable. After some frustration and less than stellar customer service at check-in, the management was quick to respond to messages. We had 1 very minor issue with trash removal which was promptly addressed and corrected by the host. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. However, the private” river access is a short stretch of river which is shared by several rental cabins. It was not easily accessible by foot (30+ minutes through rough, muddy terrain) and was more of a drive than implied in the listing (required leaving property, getting on main highway, and circling around. Although the home was lovely, the proximity and convenience of the river access was very disappointing.

Dreamy river oasis
This property was above and beyond our expectations. The home is beautifully acquainted and manages to feel both modern and cozy at the same time. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms were large. Multiple showers and bathtubs came in handy for our multiple families. The kitchen was filled with all amenities and was a perfect place to cook and gather. We had 4 young children with us and they had the best time playing on the peaceful deck watching the birds at the bird feeders and hunting for frogs and tadpoles in the creek. Katy and Veronica were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I can’t say enough about this lovely property, and I hope to come back!

Frio River family weekeend
This is a lovely large home that easily accommodated our family of 16 people. Plenty of space and never felt crowded, and with 4 bathrooms it was easy vacationing. The property is gorgeous with easy access to the river. Managment were kind responsive and very helpful. Memories were made here that will last a life time . What more can we say!

Wonderful Getaway
Love this area of Texas! Garner State Park is just 5 minutes away. The house was lovely and the outdoor patios and firepit were great as well. Vanessa was very friendly and informative at check in. And Kyle was so helpful bringing us tubes for our float. Everything we needed was so close by, river access just a three minute drive down the road. One thing to note is that the address posted on the vrbo listing is not the correct one, nor is it the office. And if you have verizon there won't be reception so it can be difficult to find if you don't get the correct address to the office/house in advance. A truly lovely stay! Thank you!!

Fantastic Frio Getaway!
We were so pleased to find the Buffalo Creek house for our recent getaway. The home had a very cool eclectic vibe and everything needed for loads of family fun! We enjoyed hiking on the property down to the river, campfires, ping pong, and darts. The home is conveniently located between Garner State Park and Leakey. Thanks Katy and Veronica - we had an amazing stay!!

Spacious hill country house
The house was great! Very clean, plenty of sleeping space. The yard and lights were great. The main improvements would be stocking the house better for large groups. There were no bowls, not enough cups/mugs for the amount of people that the house sleeps. No dishwasher soap. But for a short weekend with the goal of a lot of outside time, it was a wonderful stay.

Great vacation rental
We couldn’t be anymore relax and happy. There are more than enough rooms for our large family (16). The property is located close the State Garner park and it’s quiet and peaceful. We definitely would recommend this place to family and friends.
