This is a nice place but don't be confused by the "penthouse' adjective. Yes, it is on one of the upper floors but this is really just a hotel room. I guess when I read penthouse I misinterpreted it to be much more than what it was. With that It is spacious with a small kitchenette and seating area; however, you must provide all food related items (all kitchen tools appear to be there but I didn't cook) Basically it would be awesome if there was coffee but there is a Starbucks in the lobby so first world problem. The only other issue was the bathroom. Wow is it sparce i.e. 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel etc. the provided hand soap was empty as were the other things. That may be a housekeeping issue so I wouldn't pin this on the unit itself. I slipped the housekeep a few bucks the following day and she fixed me up with more that a handtowel to shower, lol . I was there the week before F1 so check in was a pain (Uber Drivers couldn't find, or get to the MGM towers) and you have to check in in tower 2 and this unit is tower 1 or vice versa. I wish I would have been advised of that but not the end of the world. With that, I would stay in the unit again. You are a ~5 min walk from the MGM grand food court and across the street from New York New York and prob a ~10 min walk or so to the Tram to get you to Luxor, Mandalay etc. Now that I know the lay of the land, I would be better prepared for the next stay. :o)
