My wife at I recently stayed at Lake Las Vegas. We had never stayed there before. The room was beautiful, clean and well-appointed. The room is on the top floor of the building, overlooking the lake and also overlooking a treacherous par-3 hole on the associated golf course, with sand traps and a major water hazard (i.e., the lake). We watched a number of golfers lose balls into the lake. One of the nicest aspects of this property is that, within walking distance, there is an outdoor mall/village with four or five restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised how good the restaurants were. There is an Italian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, and a pub restaurant (and maybe others). We didn't eat at the Mexican restaurant during our stay, but we ate at the others, and had excellent meals (the pub was average compared to the others, but still good). It was nice not to have to drive to eat dinner, and to have such good meals.
