「I stayed 2 nights in a Mirembe cottage- my friend had the cottage next door and we had a dedicated outside eating area, from where we were served our food.We were served by James who was consistently courteous and efficient .We felt like film stars on a tropical island as we ate delicious food sitting by the lake watching a wide variety of birds - it was just such a treat!」

「The room we were given was not what we booked. When asked for the room we booked we were shown an incredibly run down version of it in a building that was undergoing repairs so we opted for the room they initially assigned. It costs $50000 UGX to get a ride to town so we felt a bit trapped but I’m sure people accustomed to resorts are used to this. 「Gately is a quaint hotel that is always enjoyable. The staff are courteous, professional and attentive but not annoying. 「空港からの送迎10＄、まあ妥当でしょう。両替後、そのドライバーから“Japan,Samurai"とか言って、チップの請求。習慣なら従おう、と言われるままの額をウガンダ紙幣で渡す。後で換算してみると、6＄位に相当。これは、高過ぎではないか？本人は1食分だとか言ってたが、後日、地方のレストランで食事をしたら、その半分以下だった。部屋に荷物を置き、さて一服とタバコを吸っていたら、別のスタッフがやって来て、また“Japan"を連発しながら、タバコのおねだり。 後で、ウガンダについての解説を読むと、サファリドライバーのような例外を除き、チップの習慣は無い、レストランでも不要と書いてあった。するとこのホテルのスタッフの連中は、一体何だ！？」

「The staff were really nice and helpful for sure. The place has SO much potential but needs an injection of capital.. so many repairs/upgrades/maintenance needed. Plusses.. its the first resort from the ferry. You can walk there or a 2 minute drive. We were met and escorted (nice) but they need a much better sign out front (or you'd miss it). The pool/s are lovely, very clean and well maintained. A big plus. The rooms are comfortable with nice beds Breakfast was nice. Minuses .. the grounds...
