First off, I have to say that I didn’t think it would be fair to lower the star rating based on the hotel. The owner of the property was fantastic and highly responsive leading up to, and during our stay.
Some things to keep in mind when staying at this property:
Valet parking is $65 per day, $30 for self park. The self park lot is a decent walk to the front of the hotel. That’s just a heads up for what you will have to pay for the convenience of valet.
If you’re bringing e-bikes with you, make sure to call ahead to speak with the front desk or valet/bell desk manager. Confirm that there will be storage space and charging available for your e-bikes. There was a bit of confusion when we arrived and valet told us they had no storage available and were unable to charge our e-bikes after I had previously called the concierge at least four times confirming storage and charging. One of the managers, Mahesh, was very accommodating and took care of everything.
There are not very many delivery options for food to the hotel. If you choose on-site dining, it can get quite expensive, quite fast. I’m sure everybody knows that resort dining is expensive; however, we anticipated more food delivery options (at least pizza).
Overall, the location away from the Tahoe crowds was fantastic. I would love to not provide a stellar review to hide this gem for myself, but it’s only fair that everyone knows how great the experience was. The owner deserves the positive review.
