The location at Kahana is excellent and the property is large enough for 4 adults and a child. It has AC but only in the main room downstairs (like most places in Hawaii). The place was clean and had all the amenities listed in the property description. However, some of the amenities were in poor condition— the dish washer was broken so we had to do the dishes by hand every night, the refrigerator leaked rather badly and did not make ice or water (despite it being equipped to do so), the toilet paper holder fell off of the wall, the shower door was hanging by a thread, and one of ceiling fans would operate only if the attached ceiling light was on as well, which is a non starter if you want to sleep with the fan on (which is absolutely necessary given how hot the bedrooms are— at least in August).
Check in was a breeze and Perfect Stays were easy to reach, though they didn’t (couldn’t?) do anything to correct all of the problems. Bottom line: the property could’ve been above average but will probably never be way above average.
