We had booked the Salve station, paid for & confirmed but a few hours before we checked in later that evening was called and emailed by Expedia that the place was overbooked and the property owners/mgmt company had another property threy could place us in. They sent a link to thier property with pics of the rooms. It looked fine and comparable so we accepted the change.
When we arrived the room was nothing like the pics they sent and we had multiple issues with the room.
- no ac or non operable ac & thermostat so the room was hot & humid
- spiders and some other bugs around the couch/bed
- no bed, just a cheap foam fold out futon that only slept one person and maybe a small child. Could not fit both myself and 17 yr old son so we had to sleep curled up sideways hanging off the fold out.
- only one old sheet with holes in it that barely covered the fold out
- only two old thin and ragged bath towels that were all ripped at the ends.
- no face or hand towels.
- cheap linoleum floor with warped floors and the linoleum tiles cracking from the sinking and also lifting which was causing us to keep tripping on.
- old latch key that was dropped difficult to unlock and lock
- some more issues I can’t even remember them all.
By the time we got in and settled it was about midnight & too late to complain so we just settled and decided to call in the morning. Call Expedia in the morning they were able to move us to a very nice hotel at Expedia’s expense.
