"What I didn't like. A receptionist woman was not friendly. Staffs at Buffet looked tired and they didn't smile. There was nearly no table service. I used a humidifier in a room. Then, my room started to smell terrible. What I liked about Bath facilities was excellent. They added a stone sauna. The basket to carry was useful. The yukata set was convenient. Pick up service from ferry port was super helpful. The variety of buffet was impressive, but somehow, things tasted better 2 years...

"Nice resort. Bikes for use. Lovely hot spa. Pool wasnt opened. We visited in off season so only the buffet restaurant open. Would have liked just a drink and a snack. Im sure plenty available during peak season. Nothing else in the area. Walked on the beach. A lot of rubbish had washed up from the sea. Overall a bit disappointing."

"This was a fabulously beautiful ryokan With wonderful service, beautiful rooms that were large and with an ocean view. The staff speak adequate English. From the moment you walk in the lobby a sense of peace and serenity surrounds you.The onsen was on the top floor in some beautiful rock garden ledges with a great view. "As previous guests note, twenty five minutes from Toba station. As such, no restaurants or stores aside from in the hotel, but plenty of beautiful scenery. I didn’t have the dinner option due to price and instead brought take out from the local food shop (Marche) near the station, but fully enjoyed the lavish spread of fresh foods (fruits and veggies, too) and view of the bay. My room was spacious and new (532) and the indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi were well-maintained and I could do laps...

"This is a hidden gem that I literally stumbled upon. This area is famous for agriculture so the food was sourced locally and amazing. The staff is international so even if you don't speak much Japanese you will be fine. It is peaceful and fun to walk around the area. We even met a young tomato and melon farmer who showed us his greenhouse. It was like staying in a ancient Japanese palace in a very local village. "The staff treated me so well. Working with me even with a language barrier. After a few weeks of the Tokyo and Osaka life, that place was a slice of heaven, my only regret was not staying longer. The baths were nice, the place was super clean. Transportation to get there is a bit difficult, but that I think is what makes this place attractive, since it's in such a nice, quiet part of Japan. Going there during the Sakura season was amazing too. "
