Initially, I was shocked to find myself in a room with clear signs of significant moisture issues. As soon as I entered, the odor was overwhelming. Despite the hotel staff's efforts to mask the unpleasant smell with various scented products, it didn’t help at all. The room itself was spacious and nicely decorated, so I attempted to remove the scented items and opened the windows, but after an hour, the smell persisted. I requested a room change, and the hotel staff, who were very friendly, accommodated my request.
The second room was smaller, but thankfully, it didn’t have a strong odor at first. However, over time, I noticed a distinct humidity smell. It was no surprise to discover mold on the bathroom walls. I had to place a towel over the air duct to minimize the odor. My friend, who stayed in the adjacent room, experienced the same issue. We didn’t spend much time in our rooms, so we chose not to switch hotels, but keep in mind that the hotel is quite isolated—you’ll need to take a cab to reach restaurants and the beach.
