Communication with the host, Juan, was excellent. We had baggage issues, which meant we were very late getting to Javea...Juan met us and showed us around the property, even at the very late hour!
The villa is huge and the outside space and pool were great. It's a great location, 20 min comfortable walk to the nearest supermarket. 40 minute walk to Arenal beach, down the back lanes, which were very quiet...perfect for a baby to nap, en route!
We made good use of the facilities and cooked at home quite a lot....bbq's were great.
negatives: a lot of the crockery is either cracked or chipped and should really be replaced. My son in law made a coffee, which leaked out of one of the cracks in the mug. We also found we had to wash quite a bit before we could use it....perhaps needed checking before the next visitors checked in? that said, when I messaged to say we couldn't find any oven gloves, Juan came around that evening, with new ones..
The travel cot and high chair were pretty grubby too. we washed the high chair cover but not a lot we could do with the cot....my daughter ended up putting the baby on a double bed(luckily she was not rolling yet) as she was not happy to use the travel cot. We had room to spare, otherwise this would not have been an option.
Overall, we really enjoyed our holiday, but a little attention to detail would have made it so much better. This place could be an absolute gem with a little tlc
