Vacasa has the worst customer service! We checked in on Saturday evening with plans to attend a rehearsal dinner. When we arrived, we discovered there was no hot water, so we could not possibly get 5 showers and be at the dinner on time. We contacted Vacasa and were told that our call would be “escalated” and someone would call before coming to address the problem. Sunday, no call and no maintenance. Thankfully, the water was not frigid, so we were able to endure 5 tepid showers before the wedding we were in town to attend. Monday, still no contact, so we called again just before noon. We were told that the problem would be addressed that day. The maintenance guy did come out, but all he did was increase the temperature on the hot water tank and told us to wait a couple of hours for it to heat. When we still did not have hot water, we called him back. He was kind enough to contact us from his cell and told us to call him there. He was stumped as to the problem. He was out 1 or 2 more times, on different days to troubleshoot, but never remedied the situation beyond hot water in the sink, in the small half bathroom, located in the back of the house. He offered to have the property manager call us, but we never heard from anyone. So we spent the entire week with no hot water! When we returned home, I responded to an Email from the district manager asking for feedback, and never received a response. We will never stay in another Vacasa managed property again!
In addition, we battled ants on the counter; there was no laundry detergent as indicated in the description; and we only had one dish towel. Also, the screens were torn on the screened porch.
On a positive note, the layout of the house was good and the location was great, but having no hot water all week overshadowed everything good about the property.
