Luxury apartment with unreasonable cleaning fee
The apartment is new, spacious, luxurious and well equipped. However I was disappointed to discover that the coffee machine was not available in the apartment especially when it was adverised as included when I made my booking. I called the emergency number to report the missing coffee machine and only received a call back after 6 hours. Thereafter the coffee machine was replaced by the staff very quickly. The second concern is the unreasonable high cleaning charge as the apartment is not serviced daily and upon check in you are provided with list of duties which included running the dishwasher and taking the garbage out. So why such a high cleaning charge. In my case the cleaning charge represented 33% of the rental charge. The rates quoted on hotel dot com is deceiving and misleading and should rather reflect the total cost of stay. In closing we did have a pleasant stay but felt that it would have better to stay in Interlaken East rather than Interlaken West. The area around the apartment is a bit run down.
