What a magical place
We had the most amazing stay. It wasn’t so fancy that we were scared to settle in and relax but it provided every need to enjoy ourselves. Our hosts were the best - kind, available when needed, and are clearly travelers who understand how it feels from the other side. They feel like friends now. We were able to let go of stress in the quiet, natural environment, soak away our aches in the hot tub, lose ourselves in the warmth of the fire, and get home renewed and refreshed. Best rental stay ever!

Will rebook in the future!
Myself, my brother and our 3 dogs came for a few relaxing nights in the mountains from SD. (This was the dogs' first road trip and overnight stay away from home.)Check in/getting into the cabin was seamless. The check in instructions/info binder are very helpful. They also have little notes throughout the house. The cabin was super dog friendly. The fenced in dog run is awesome!Unfortunately our stay was significantly shortened due to mother nature's record breaking winds (75-85mph gusts) and extremely high fire hazard warnings (the fires throughout LA sparked the day we checked in). The power was cut off at 1030 the night we arrived, by the power company, as a precautionary. Thankfully, the cabin had lanterns and flashlights JIC. We went to bed for the night at midnight. The next morning, after checking the power and weather companies information, we decided to head back home to SD.The owners were very responsive and understanding. They quickly refunded the majority of our stay. We would love to rebook in the future.

A perfect family getaway
Our family had a lovely stay at this clean and inviting property. Every night, we made a fire, turned on the record player, and played board games. The town is charming (make sure to say hi to the mayor!) and the stargazing is top tier. We loved our stay, thank you!!

Treehouse in Pine Cove
We had a lovely 3 night stay at J&Bs treehouse. The cabin was very private and so comfortable. Cabin was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. The jacuzzi was perfect after long days of hiking. Would definitely stay there again!

Great place
Nice location, surrounded by trees, in a quiet neighborhood, close to trails. Hot tub and pool table were a hit with our family, and the fenced yard was useful for our dog. We would definitely stay again.

Restful getaway
Restful getaway,exactly what we wanted. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi and pool table even watched a little Netflix, but we spent most of our time out on the deck or inside staring at the beautiful trees and scenery. We loved our whole stay thank you so much, Jeannie and Tony

Awesome get away with friends.
This Tree house is amazing for a romantic weekend get away or to go with friends. Very well kept and well decorated. Outdoor Jacuzzi off the master bedroom. We loved it here. Great hiking near by. Highly recommended.

Great Weekend Getaway
We spent a wonderful winter weekend at this amazing mountain cabin! Billy was very helpful, responsive, and communicative leading up to and during our stay. The house was beautifully furnished and really comfortable. We spent lots of time in the house since it was cold and snowy outside. There was a cozy fireplace, a great selection of table games, a pool table downstairs, and a hot tub on the deck. We were very happy with our stay at the Tree House and would love to come back!

Perfect Combination of Rustic and Modern
What a perfect cabin! This was our third time staying in a VRBO cabin in Idyllwild. Each time we have chosen a different cabin... we will only be booking this one moving forward! There are so many great touches that put this cabin far over the top from all others in its price range. The downstairs is a perfect game area with a great pool table that is far away enough from the upstairs bedrooms that the noise didn't disrupt our sleeping baby! The fenced-in yard was a great bonus for us to let our dog out, when it was 25 degrees outside. The décor was great and not cheaply made, like many other cabins. So many little touches; every room we walked in had us saying "Look at this", "Wait, Look at that!" The kitchen was a good size and was open to the living room and the deck. The chairs and couches were very stylish, clean and comfy. This is a perfect place for couples and those with little ones. There is no loft in this cabin. At first I thought I'd miss that since many cabins have lofts but instead I got the 100% authentic cabin feel and didn't have to worry about my kids and dog trying top jump through the banister of the loft--those things can be downright scary for parents. Oh, and it unexpectedly snowed our first morning and we were able to build a snowman and go sledding in a "secret" trail down the street!

The perfect rustic get away
The cabin was perfect for our Christmas get away! The pool table downstairs provided entertainment while the spa outside was a treat. The furnishings were very comfortable and we loved the decor. Of course, the first snow of the season on Christmas for our first white Christmas was just icing on the cake. Billy was very helpful with great instructions and were able to turn on the heat for us prior to our arrival so it was very comfortable from the start. Billy was also very responsive to questions and comments as well which made the stay even more comfortable. We are looking forward to a return trip in the future.

Perfect Family Getaway

The perfect get away weekend.
It was all we were looking for. The house was immaculate and provided everything you needed. The decor was tasteful and in accord with the location. J&B were on top of things. They followed up with me prior my trip to inform me about weather conditions and even allowed me to check-in earlier since the house was ready before the check-in time. We felt in love with this place and we will definitely rent it again. Thank you J&B.

Cozy Mountain Retreat
Impeccable! This cabin is perfection! Everything was on point from the amenities to the adorable design. Fantastic communication from the hospitable owners along with step by step instructions so there is no guessing which leads to a stress free stay. Super comfy beds, amazing views, a little dog run area, huge hot tub and the most perfect deck to watch the squirrels and birds play. The cabin is easy to get to and is in a a nice, quiet neighborhood. We took lots of walks around the area and met some of the nice people who live in the area. Billy and Jeff left recommendations on where to eat in Idyllwild which made it easy for us to choose amongst the many offerings. It’s obvious Billy and Jeff care about their guests and want to make sure we were taken care of, which we were! To the hot cocoa waiting for us on our arrival to the music playing to the lights on, we felt like we were staying at a 5-Star resort. We cannot wait to go back! THANK YOU BILLY AND JEFF!

Beautiful, dog-friendly, tree top cabin!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at J & Bs treehouse! This secluded getaway is truly nestled among the trees and has everything you need for a relaxing, private vacation. Billy & Jeff’s attention to detail made our experience feel like we were staying at the cozy cabin of a family member not a rental. A handwritten note to welcome us, tips on how to build a fire, decorative pillows & a throw blanket draped across the couch, bandaids in the medicine cabinet, adorable red accents, and rustic hardware are just a few of the small details that create warmth and charm. It’s not just the little things but big ones too that make the “Treehouse” the perfect place for our stay in Idyllwild. The big beds with cozy bedding, a generous hot tub, good pressure & shower head height, windows to bring the great outdoors in, a huge fireplace, safe decks and outdoor stairs, multiple places to sit and relax, a pool table, a couch bed on its own floor with half bathroom, and the fact that its dog friendly made our stay truly comfortable.
