Located on the stunningly beautiful Highway 138, the lodge is the perfect jump off point for the Umpqua River, endless miles of forestland, and a quick hop to Crater Lake National Park. My room was as close to perfect as a nicely remodeled 100 year old lodge could be, and my only complaint was the sulfur smell and taste for the water. The owners were awesome about this, and kept me stocked with bottled water, but that sulfur smell was strong, though I will say I got used to it and took showers comfortably, feeling clean each time.
They have a well stocked beer bar, a delightful common area for guests to enjoy sitting, and a deck space for morning coffee too. The owners are wonderful, very friendly, and attentive to the property.
Overall, a great place that I’d absolutely consider to explore this past of southern Oregon from again.
