Highly disappointed in the condo especially with its lack of cleanliness, the broken appliances/fittings and the horrible dirty condition of some of the soft furnishings. It is high time the owner Mun-Chong Chang inspected the condo and replaced the broken and dirty furnishings and talked to Koko Resorts about its cleaning standards.
I have listed below the items of concern:
After 15 mins of walking on the floor with bare feet we discovered our feet were black indicating the condition of the floor. We mopped the floor to remedy this after having to soak the mop to clean it up for use.
Bed linen pillow and bedspreads were filthy, were stained with yukky brown/reddish marks of unknown origin, one bed sheet had a hole in it. The cushions on the couch are dirty and stained , the couch cover was dirty. The curtains all need a wash as they are stained and dirty,especially so the curtain above the air con which was mouldy also. The supplied towels were greyish, not white and also contained suspicious stains. Dust was abundant in the hard to reach areas and was prevelant along skirting boards and in corners.Suspicious brown marks aound the toilet area/walls in the bathroom, suspicious as they wiped off readily.
The kettle for boiling water, unusable, inside rusty thus contaiminating the water for tea, the plug in the hand basin would not work and had to be manually opened after use, one end of the towel rail is coming out of the wall and the hand towel rail above the vanity pulls out often with the towel . The handles to the dust pan no longer exist somehow they have been broken off, the handle to the broom broke off whilst in use.
We had no issues with the size of the condo but would be a wee bit small for 5 adults, the location is great as are the views, there is a lot of beach type equipment there for use and yes it is not far from the major bus routes.
We talked to a representative from Koko Resorts about the above who said we should have talked to them about our concerns so they could be rectified, however I pointed out once we move into a place like that it becomes our home and thus not open to all and sundry and also if the between client cleaning was effiective we would not be having the conversation. It was intimated that dirty bedspreads, curtains,cushions etc were not their responsibility.
Mun-Wong Chang visit the condo and replace the items that are broken, dirty for the benefit of future clients & no we are not after any refund!
