Overall, we thought this place was great! Free cold water every day, "mini bar" in the room with reasonable prices, super sparkling clean, cute balcony, nice staff. Staff was friendly and helpful, asking about our day and helping with luggage. The location is good, away from the wild backpacker street, but close enough to walk to many bars, restaurants, and attractions. I liked how the hostel is set back from the main street, and the local families said hi to us as we came and went every day. It was pretty quiet at night.
The only reason I had to knock off a "star" is that the code we were given for the door after hours didn't work, so we had to pound on the door and shout to be let in. And no, we weren't just drunk -- we confirmed the next morning that the code did not work. I don't know what we would have done if they hadn't heard us!
The bed was kind of hard too, but that seems to be the norm in Vietnam, given other places we stayed.
We were pleased and would definitely stay there again, but double check the door code!
