Lemon Lodge is an enclave of twenty something independently owned cabins in a secluded area right off Downtown Grand Lake. It is a wonderful location, very quiet, and peaceful. The property is right where one branches of the Colorado River feeds into the lake and it is beautiful, and usually the fishing is very good.
My family and I have been coming to Lemon Lodge off and on since the eighties, and always love it. We have stayed in many of the cabins there and been very happy. This was our first time in cabin 21. To say the cabin itself was a huge disappointment would be an understatement. Upon entering the cabin we found the carpet to be dirty and stained. Really very off putting. The back part of the cabin where the bathroom is, the floor has heaved and tilted to where it is impossible to close the bathroom door (I have pictures). The shower/tub is an old porcelain tub, which is fine, except it has no slip strips or mat in the bottom to keep from falling while in the shower. The best though, was the naked wiring where the furnace in the Living Room is hooked up. The wiring is just laying on top of the furnace. This is exposed and dangerous. It should be in an electrical box with a plate over it, and is most certainly a code violation. DO NOT RENT THIS UNIT, until these problems have been fixed.
Our review is for this cabin only. Lemon Lodge is wonderful and we highly recommend it!
