My sisters and I love visiting Grafton, IL! The area is so pretty! But found out after staying there for 3 days, that it became very frustrating for us. We had no cell phone service the entire time and were not able to check up on our families back home! The Lil Red Guest House was pleasant and comfortable but a little run down for our tastes! The porch was full of bugs, wasps, and nests of some sort in the corners. The porch railings were not sturdy, and we had to be careful where we were walking and leaning. Other than that, it was a pleasant house to stay in. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed for the most part, and there was a small grocery store nearby to fill the rest of our needs. We also learned that a few of the restaurants and stores in Grafton are not open past the weekend. We arrived there on Sunday afternoon and stayed until Wednesday morning. We did that because we didn't want to deal with the crowds the entire time we were there, but found out our options for eating and shopping became limited after Sunday. We learned some valuable lessons on this trip; the biggest one being Grafton is a nice place to visit, but wouldn't want to stay there for any length of time.
