Besides my initial frustration with the booking firm wanting both my credit card/money and a photo of the front and back of my drivers license, I would recommend. I look for quaint surroundings (an inside that is charming and the outside inviting), comfortable and clean furniture (furniture that beckons you to sit down, take your shoes off and relax), a bed you cant wait to get into at night and not quickly get out of in the am. I think lighting is critical, ambience is everything from meal prep, lounging, reading a book, etc. This cabin/cottage provided all the above. My only complaint or actually a disappointment was the non-working fireplace. It was one of the many things I liked about this property. The property manager was readily available to address our request to turn on the fireplace (we weren't successful) , but was honest in saying due to safety reasons it's not something to look forward to. Myself and my sister in law were able to check in a few hours early and check out a few hours late at the property managers generosity and ability to accommodate with prior guests, cleaning staff, etc. We will be back, might even stay longer as the majority if our time was spent chatting and just leisurely walking a trail on the property and a adjacent road that parallels Rand Pond. We give it a 8-9/10.
