「Stunning location! This feels like a home that a family has been very happy to have for decades and they've decided to share some of the joy and coziness of the property with others. The property is well maintained and situated on a peninsula on a lake that is gorgeous even when completely frozen. As soon as we got through the door we could immediately relax. Wonderful fireplace, comfortable beds..we were happy with this choice. 」

「On the down side: It's VERY dark in the house. Other than kitchen & bath, lighting is poor. Walls are all dark which attributes to the lighting issue. The house is too beautiful to have such a gloomy look. Poor instructions from owner. Unable to discard trash as garage was locked. Unfamiliar with propane, I could only get one burner to work on the stove. No cleaning supplies were available for me to use if needed. Bring a wand if you want to watch television. 「Close to Jay Peak & restaurants on Newport’s Main St but laid out awkwardly. Bathroom is huge but living room is cramped. I was a little worried that we would be cold since it didn’t look well insulated, but the heat was good & strong & it didn’t take long to warm up. 「The house is sprawling, plenty of first floor room, and a top level apartment was great for a family’s needing their own space. The rooms were comfortable and each had a lake view. The kitchen pantry was well stocked with little extras, and there was plenty of fridge storage with two refrigerators. The lake is set behind the house with a huge yard that accommodates many games. The dock and swimming area were tidy, and they had plenty of water boats (boards,kayaks,canoes) and life preservers....

「This was our fourth time staying at Tom’s house for a winter weekend with a large group of friends (which now includes young kids). We love the location, close to Craftsbury Outdoor Center and Hill Fsrmstead, and that you can have dogs. Kitchen is stocked to cook for a group. And plenty of room for a large group! We’re planning to be back next year!」

「I stayed here for close to a month in january, had a great time. The area is beautiful, the cabin was warm and comfortable even in the middle of january once i had the woodstove going, very nice quiet area. You won't see a single person anywhere near the cabin, it was pretty secluded and extremely private, but still reasonably close to some small towns. There were some issues with the internet/tv working for the first few days- but was addressed.
