My only complaint is lack of communication from property manager. This property is managed by Oak Square (but is independently owned, however it's not the owner you communicate with when attempting to rent, unlike some units in this building). I reached out via VRBO listing / link 3 times attempting to gather information on status of the property, attempting to make payment on my reservation (since it indicated a payment / balance was due), asking for information on amenities (since I read reviews that the pool was closed). Never once did I get a reply from the mysterious Kevin that per the office manages this property and several others in a network in Gatlinburg. Since I never got a link to make payment I was concerned something may have been wrong with our reservation. I finally (after calling for 3 days) reached someone in the Oak Square office that was able to answer our questions & inform me that my payment would be collected in the office upon arrival, not via VRBO/HomeAway as the deadline indicated. I will say we have stayed at Oak Square several times over the years and love the location. This unit is very clean and newly updated (I suggest a broom/dustpan for renters to be able to clean up anything they may spill / food crumbs). While I prefer the units in the middle for the view, I would absolutely rent this unit again. Returning renters a heads up the hot tub is permanently closed (filled in w concrete) as the homeowners voted to fill it instead of repair (I imagine the cost was astronomical to repair). The outdoor pool is clean and open (although very cold) and the indoor pool is also clean and open (and only slightly warmer), the term "heated pool" is very misleading, but we did use the indoor pool, as the outdoor pool was too cold to use this week (the outdoor temps were mild & rainy this week). Again we love Oak Square and this unit has been added to my favourites list.
