What a fun location

Beautiful Home in a Great Location!
Have stayed at several places owned/hosted by Robin, and we have yet to be disappointed. This home was perfect for our family of 8, and with the kayaks and great fishing from dock, we rarely had to leave the house for anything other than makinh the 2 min drive to the beach! Highly recommend this property, along with the other properties that are hosted by Robin in Jamaica Beach area. Much like our families experience, your family will have a great stay and will not be disappointed. . H

Family get away
The property was just what we were looking for. We went fishing, rode bikes, took hikes, went kayaking and all was great fun. The house was also great. We especially enjoyed spending time on the decks overlooking the canal. The host was also very responsive and easy to work with. We will plan a return visit.

Jamaica Cay is a place we really like.
The property is great and is easy to get my husband around. He is invalid and the space is great for us getting him in and out on the deck. We had a great time. The only thing that was frustrating was the bad weather.

Awesome stay
This was our second time to stay at this property. It is great for family. The fishing guide picked up our people at our dock and dropped them back off there. They had a great time. The older kids used the kayaks in there canal. Lots of fun. Would definitely recommend

Great property, awesome location, and wonderful hosts!
We enjoyed our stay at Jamaica Cay so much despite the mediocre weather. The house was immaculate and the host was quick to respond when we requested the possibility of staying another night due to a car accident on the way down. 😢 We had a group of 9 and there was plenty of room to relax in the living room when the weather was too cold to hang out on the deck. We would definitely stay here again if we booked another trip in the Galveston area. Thanks Robin!

Great relaxing house!
The house had pretty much everything you would need for your stay including eating utensils, cooking appliances, vacuum, and more! There were bikes and kayaks available as well. Looked exactly like the photos and was very comfortable!

We had a great time at this property. Our first night was stormy there but that that didn’t stop us from having a good time! This is a great house for fishing and having my furry friends there. They have a nice closed fence. Also the handicap ramp is great for my parents and the puppies We will definitely rent this house again

Phenomenal!
First, Robin is an amazing host! communication was prompt, thoughtful and professional. Little huccups (my fault entirely) handled immediately. Informative is an understatement! Fabulous tips, suggestions and recommendations! This property is immaculately maintained spotless and with thoughtful touches throughout (looking at you Fall pumpkins!)Everyone in our party found the bedding comfortable and we all loved the layout of the home. Plenty of seating inside and out. Morning coffee on the deck is not to be missed. Neighborhood is quiet and for us, a welcome break from the crowds and busy roads in Galveston proper. Very easy quick drive or bike ride to the beach or rent a golf cart for added fun! We appreciated the beach items provided and enjoyed the bikes! Although fishing was tough this week, we spent many hours on the lower deck trying our luck with the underwater lights and we felt very secure there with our 8 year old. This property really does anticipate your needs and works hard to meet them. I hesitate to make a suggestion for fear of sounding like we weren't completely satisfied, but I would say the addition of rod holders would be welcome for those determined to make a catch. Wifi was perfect and the ramp made entries and gear hauling a breeze! We are already planning our next booking here, for longer stay!

Our stay was awesome!!! House was spotless upon arrival and is just the perfect distance from Galveston attractions. Had a question during our stay and owner responded immediately. Fishing was also great. Caught specks our last 2 nights out of our 4 night stay. We plan on staying again and would highly recommend.

Nice House - "Wheelchair Accessible" to get inside, but be aware it's not ADA Compliant
The house is very nice but the description of the property as being "wheelchair accessible" is misleading. There is a ramp from the ground to the second story, which is the main living area. That is the extent of the "wheelchair accessibility" because the interior of the house is not ADA compliant by any means. Fortunately, the two people in my group with mobility issues are able to walk some but not able climb stairs so we didn't encounter many issues, other than the bathroom. The ramp was convenient for getting people inside as well as being able to load our supplies into a wagon and pulling it up to the second floor. The deck is spacious enough for a person in a wheelchair to roll around. The second floor is the only area accessible to a person who cannot climb stairs. Both the ground floor and third floor are only accessible via stairs. The living/dining/kitchen area has space for a wheelchair to roll around if some furniture is removed. We stored a couple chairs in a downstairs closet to provide more space. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor, but those are not wheelchair accessible. The bedrooms are both small, without adequate clearance for a wheelchair to get into the room or around the bed. Getting into the bathroom involves making a very tight turn that is not possible for a person in a standard size wheelchair to do without damaging the cabinet and/or doorframe. There is not a roll-in shower; just a bathtub that has no bars or accessibility features, like a seat, hand shower, or transfer board. The toilet also does not have bars so bring portable ones if a person has difficulty getting up. We had a shower seat with us but it was still difficult for the person to get into the tub without bars. The "wheelchair accessible" bathroom in the house photos is the one that has the white cabinets, toilet, and tub with white shower curtain. The house was clean and nicely furnished. The host provides one bath towel per person so if you are staying for very long or like to use more than one towel and don't want to do laundry, bring some extras. Also, bring your own beach towels. The house description says there are 4 full baths, but we only found 3 bathrooms (one per floor). Some doors were locked and we didn't attempt to open them so the 4th bathroom might have been locked up during out stay. Despite a few inconveniences, my family had a great time at the house and would consider staying again.

Great Family Summer Get Away
This property was perfect for our long weekend with kids and grandkids! We all had so much fun playing games on the deck, fishing off the private dock, grilling steaks and playing on the beach. We loved the large, comfortable couch which allowed the adults to have relaxed time together after the kids went to bed. The home is very well cared for and the property manager, Robin, was a dream to work with. He is very responsive to all questions and goes above and beyond to make sure the guests are well cared for. This is an A+ get away.
