An excellent, large finca that is ideal for a family, with 3 bedrooms, though one is accessed via another. The property is in a good condition, but it was a little tired in terms of paintwork at the end of the season. It was slightly disappointing to arrive and not be met by the agent (though we were very, very grateful for the early arrival and late check out time). We didn't realise we would be given all directions via WhatsApp (we had data roaming off!) and so didn't look to the app for directions etc (which actually were very good indeed). But with a little detective work we found it and the keys. Because of the weather on arrival (and perhaps because there had been no one in the week before?) the Finca felt a little dark, forlorn and unloved when we arrive as it was all shuttered up and there were piles of cushions from the various outside seating areas stacked up in the house. But just by opening the shutters (of which there are many!) and moving all the cushions outside, we soon felt at home and the sun shone. This is a large property and the grounds quite extensive with various terraces which we enjoyed , not least the salt water swimming pool (don't be fooled by the patina), at least twice a day. Be aware, that if staying in the village the hours of direct sunlight are inevitably limited at this time of year, due to the mountains. So the first week in October and the sun hit the pool at 10am and was gone by 6pm. Not an issue for us, but some may lament not waking up to sunshine or miss a late setting sun in the evening . The house is excellent and well provided for. It's location is approx 40m above the main car park (not an issue) up a small flight of cobbled path (beware again if hiring bicycles , and again it is possible, but it's a steep climb first to the top of the car park, then secondly a push up the cobbled path note: bike hire in Port de Soller recommended). You will soon adapt and the short walk to the bakery makes it all very worthwhile. A great base for exploring the area, with a bus into the port and countless walks, and hills for cycling.
