Staying at this hotel is a unique experience that you should probably participate in if you go to Tikal. It’s worth the extra cost and it’s so convenient as it is adjacent to the park. It’s a matter of walking five minutes to the park entrance. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Couple things you should know for sure before you book here is that they turn the lights off at night and you have only one light in your room after that, there’s no air conditioning. There is a fan in the ceiling, however which works pretty well. When we were there, it was 90° and very humid. You will notice that the sheets can be damp because of the humidity. Nighttime cools down to the 70s so you can sleep. The Casitas are covered with foliage and trees so they keep cooler than you would think. The pool is nice and refreshing. I don’t like heat or humidity, but I was OK for this three day holiday. Just accept and enjoy it if you stay here. It is unique. I would return.
