Great new property. For price paid was amazing. We were a little weary of being a new resort and some of the mixed reviews, but we are overly impressed, and happy we chose Avani. We followed this stay with Four Seasons on the same atoll, was a great duo. The price comparison is astounding, and so for what we paid here, the value of this property and its experience far exceeded our hopes! Our only negative experience, is the pool staff are not quite up to par in service, not eager to serve and seem bothersome. However, EVERY WHERE else they superseded!

Standard and not recommended
95% at least were Russian families with kids screaming and shouting. One of these families tried to occupy our beach villa chairs everyday as well as the swimming pool of the beach villa next door! We reported it to the reception 3 times but nothing was done about it.
Food was good but poor variety. Service was very bad. We would wait for a drink more than 20 minutes during every meal.
The buffet restaurant had closed doors so you have to open it with a plate on your hands. Unbelievable. It also does not have ac.
Most of the menu dishes are not available at the other two restaurants.
The constructions are ugly and the rooms are not comfortable. Our mattress was terribly bad and everyday there was something missing: toilet paper. Beach towels. Coffee capsules…
You wake up at 5 am with the noise of the seaplanes. On arrival we waited 4 hours to get to the hotel and we were given several different excuses for the delay.
We do not recommend this hotel at all it’s not our first time in the Maldives and there are much better hotels at the same price range.
The atmosphere is too unpleasant.

First and foremost I want to recognize the individuals that made the stay so much better by providing over the top notch and consistent hospitality during our stay. Riyaaz, Akram and the other bartender who’s a native to the Maldives(forgot his name) provided us with some of the best hospitality and service we’ve ever experienced. They’re the type of individuals who would make a guest want to return strictly for their services.
I’ll give the resort 5 stars because it’s new and has the potential but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done and improved.
What bothered us the most was the all inclusive stipulations and the way the Diving Center operated. Room service isn’t included in the all inclusive package so if you plan on having drinking days at your bungalow it’s not going to happen under that plan. You’ll have to pay extra and it’s not cheap. You’re limited to meals so in a sense it’s not really all inclusive. More like unlimited alcohol and 3 meals which only include buffet for lunch. And I say this to say that depending on how much you drink or eat it’s possible that opting out of all inclusive may be cheaper for you.
The Dive resort is well equipped and Emma was sweet and knowledgeable but we weren’t given many options on locations for diving or times. Seems like the dives are planned around whatever other activities are happening so you getting to dive is not really guaranteed every day. I would recommend but would change some things if I was to return.

Avani Fares gets a 10 out 10 in customer service. All employees new were supper attentive. Room service was done 3 to 4 times out of the day. I would like to recommend this property to anyone that is looking to visit paradise. Resort is super new so all room and buildings reflect that.
