「クレタ島では海岸沿いのホテルに泊まる旅行者が多いと思いますが、喧騒を避け静かに過ごしたい人にオススメのホテルです。イラクリオンからは車で２５分くらい。島の真ん中あたりにあります。車がないと不便なのでレンタカーをかりることをオススメします。車があれば観光も問題ありません。このホテルの良いところは、まずロケーション。山の上の方にあるため眺めがすごく良いです。そしてレストラン(タベルナ)。料理がめちゃくちゃ美味しくて、安い。地元の人たちも多く食べに来ていました。またホテルのオーナーのおじさんが親切で優しいです。ホテルに帰るたびに優しく声をかけてくれ迎えてくれました。のんびりと自然の中で過ごしたい人にオススメのホテルです。」

「A small group of modern appartments in a rural location with a great pool and stunning views. 20 min walk from village with good restaurants and shops. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Going breakfast available. The walk back from the village is steep but a taxi was 5 Euros. If you get the exact Google Maps location it is not difficult to find. 」

「A beautiful spot in a lovely village. We only wish we had stayed longer. Beds and rooms are spacious well lit and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with delicious fresh food with coffee and fresh orange juice. It’s the same every day so if you like variety best be prepared to cook in your room or walk. Easy but somewhat hilly walk to the main square, full of vibrant tavernas with good food. Excellent friendly service from the staff. 」

「Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. 」
