Stunning 4 Season Lake Burntside Log Cabin

Welcome to our Lake Burntside 4 Season retreat. This newer hand scribed 1,700 square foot log cabin on 2 acres of property and 200’ of frontage on the pristine waters of Lake Burntside is only 9 miles from Ely town ctr and minutes to the boundary waters canoe area.

The open plan cabin has a master bedroom and full bathroom on the main level as well as a loft with full bath, sleeping up to 8 in beds. It has a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, great views and large patio overlooking the lake as well as a new barrel sauna down by the water and dock.

In the summer, use our canoe or keep your boat on the dock as you enjoy fishing, watersports, canoeing and endless water activity on the +7,000 acre Lake Burntside known for its crystal clear waters as well as it’s fishery of Lake Trout, Whitefish, Walleye, Northern, perch and pan fish . For winter, the home is well insulated with heated floors so take advantage of abundant cross country and snowmobile trails (snowmobile trail passes right by property on lake) or enjoy snowshoeing, ice fishing, dogsledding, or just relaxing with hot cocoa or wine in front of the fire. Enjoy fall colors by taking a hike on one of the many trails within minutes of the cabin.

The Perfect Northwoods Cabin
This property is spotless and beautiful. It feels very secluded, but is an easy, beautiful drive into Ely. The view is incredible from everywhere in the house and this part of the Burntside Lake is sparsely populated. We were here in November so no snow and now swimming, and yet it was so peaceful and lovely. We enjoyed the sauna and the Adirondack chairs very much! Also loved the fireplace, the comfy furniture and beds and the unique and giant dining room table. The hosts were so kind and helpful - they truly above and beyond and we were grateful for them! We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Annual weekend with friends for hiking.lovely cabin & Enjoyed the beautiful view. Caught some great smallmouth off the dock. Did think there would be kayaks from the add. Lighting in cabin was very dim, could be much much brighter. Hard to play games at the large table or read. No hair dryer in upstairs bath.

My husband and another couple stayed at the cabin for 5 nights. It was everything we wanted & needed. The lake view was amazing & the sauna was a great way to start the day. Great location for hiking & biking or popping into Ely. Would highly recommend and we would love to go back.

What a mesmerizing location! The views only outweigh the amenities. We would take morning swims followed by a sauna before we would start our day in the Ely area. It was so lovely that we immediately booked for next year!

This was our third time staying here and hope to be able to return. The hosts are always kind and timely with their communication. The home is clean, relaxing, and quiet. We spent our time canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, sitting by the lake, reading, and playing games. Easy access to Ely. Would highly recommend!

Peaceful Northwoods Vacation
This property and the community of Ely and surrounding towns provided a perfect, peaceful Northwoods family vacation. Check-in was extremely simple and the hosts were accommodating. The cabin is beautiful and provides ample space for our family of 5. There was plenty of room for everyone to have space of their own. The lake was stunning and very quiet and we spent a lot of time enjoying the comfortable seating and dock area. Our children (aged 16 to 3) were able to swim by the dock safely and loved it. I would recommend bringing water tubes or float pads as the lake is a lot of fun. The cabin provides seclusion from neighbors and it was honestly so quiet, that you could hear your ears ring ;) But that's a great thing! The town of Ely had everything we needed - Zup's grocery store, gas stations, and several fun shops & outfitters. Every single store we stopped in, we were greeted with friendly people. If you are looking for a rustic, charming getaway, Ely is the place. I would also recommend renting a Pontoon from Lakeview Lodge - they deliver it to the public boat access just down the road from the cabin and you can dock it at the property. There are several fun and interesting family activities throughout the area, as well as great restaurant options. All in all - it was a great place for a vacation!

Great Place for lake fun
We fished 7 of our 8 days. Our 3 and 7 year old had fun catching little fish off the dock. Plenty of room for our party of 7. Furnishings are definitely lake oriented, especially the live edge dining room table and benches. We toasted marshmallows over the campfire down by the lake

Up North Beauty
This cabin was a perfect size for my family of 5 plus my mother. The view of Burntside lake was outstanding. Fishing off the dock was awesome. Caught some good size bass and the 2 largest northerns I have ever caught. My 3,5, and 9 year old kids loved swimming around the dock. Our favorite part was taking all 5 of us out on the canoe and seeing how truly beautiful Burntside lake is. There is also a hiking path a few miles away that brought us to a waterfall called dry falls. Memories with my family that will carry with us always. P.S. Jason was our main contact and a genuinely nice man. A+

nestled in peace
This is a beautiful property that sits up higher from the water making for some beautiful views! Our family of 5 had plenty of room. The dock is set up nicely and we were able to dock our boat easily. It was about a 15 min drive to town which was convenient. We saw a Momma doe and her 2 fawns walk right by the sliding glass doors one morning, another morning a snapping turtle ventured up to the driveway. It was so peaceful & serene.

Don’t tell anyone, but this property is fantastic! Our party loved everything about it. We tried to book it for next year but it was already taken. The cabin is well appointed, the lake is pristine and provided us with plenty of fish, the sauna was enjoyable and having the use of the canoe was great. Thankful to have spent one week at this cabin!
I came with my best friend to celebrate her 60th b-day. The cabin was spectacular & had everything we needed,(the loft was huge w/ BA, hosts were top notch-communicating quickly & guiding us to attractions/restaurants that we desired. Each AM we enjoyed coffee on the patio soaking in ONLY the sounds of nature & going over our plans (or no plans) for the day. What a luxury! We loved the sites, shops, & restaurant's of Ely (Grand Ely Lodge for b-day dinner, Boat House Restaurant for tasty burgers & Northern Grounds/Log Cabin Coffee Drive Through). Pebbles Spa was heaven! WARNING-most places DON'T update their websites. Not fun driving around to be met with "Closed for the Season" signs. Nevertheless, we still spent too much money on fun souvenirs, ate too much food, read like crazy, napped & got too much sun (the weather was on our side). To us, we lived "cabin life" to the fullest where we enjoyed hanging out the most. We did some hiking at the Kawishiwi Falls, super cool! The TV? No need. We spent evenings with the sliding glass doors open, enjoying the nightly breeze off the lake, loons calling, reading, chatting & playing board games. Our best friend, red squirrel, enjoys unsalted peanuts if you're lucky enough to meet him & his cranky friend. Blessed to have that quality time with my dear friend. It was a 4 hour drive but so worth it. Read the Cabin Journal-guests thoughts & tips were helpful. Reserve this top notch cabin today! Thanks again Jennifer & Jason!

It was just right
The home was just right. Comfortable, spacious and roomy for our family. The home included a great kitchen for all the family meals. Very large dining table/ benches to gather at. Two bathrooms. Very large upstairs with lots of room and areas to sleep and a large bedroom on the main floor. We had a warm February stay full of sunshine and mild temps. Incredible relaxing comfortable winter stay!
We six friends had a fantastic time at this stay! The cabin was cozy and warm - lovely sauna overlooking the lake! The beds and cabin space were just right for relaxing and reading/games, especially enjoyed the full formal dining room. Plenty of towels and bedsheets/blankets, but make sure to pack paper kitchen products & oils for cooking. Thank you to Jason & Jennifer!
