「Six of us booked this house for two nights, climbing Mount Katahdin the morning after our first night. The house was great, plenty of beds and showers, and close to the park. The dishwasher was key for our larger group and fueling up. The only caution I have is if you or someone in your party is sensitive to mold or musty smells, you may want to avoid the upstairs suite and the basement. 」

「Great location just outside of town. Property owner is super easy to contact and very kind. Very clean and calming place to stay. Nice back deck and picnic table by the river with plenty of room to roam in a wall kept lot. As other reviews have mentioned, I can see the issue if you have trouble with steep stairs to the bedroom, but the design of a cabin is no reason to knock down a rating, If you need handicap accessible, look for something that says it’s handicap accessible. 」

「The view of the lake as the sun rises is stunning. We absolutely loved our stay at the lake house. It is so quiet and peaceful. The listing is very accurate and Stephen the manager is great to work with and if you have any questions he gets back to you very quickly. We spent a week exploring Maine and used this as our home base and it was as beautiful as everything else in the state.」

「Communication with Travis was great. He was accommodating which was very much appreciated. The home did have a musty animal odor to it, which may have been due to the basement, there was a dehumidifier which was full. In the left downstairs bedroom the mattress protector has blood on it. The sheets were clean, but the mattress protector was dirty. Overall we had an enjoyable stay. Other than the odor and the mattress protector issue, we would stay here again. Very safe area.」

The kitchen is wonderful and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out as well as to convene for meals. The lake is beautiful. 」

「Everything is as described. I've been visiting Maine on the coast since I was young. But this time, I wanted to try staying on a lake or in a cabin. I don't recall if it was noted, but the house does have a privacy/security gate out to the road that is helpful if you have small children or want to keep your vehicles safe. The water on the lake is crystal clear where you can see fish just by looking down from the dock. Basic paper needs are well-supplied as is the water cooler in the kitchen....
