We booked this cabin hoping for a quiet White Christmas with just us and the dog. It exceeded expectations in every way! We enjoyed a TON of snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and the neighborhood was just perfect for walking--there is even a short trail along a creek that runs along the north side of the development. Close to Maple Falls and Glacier, it is also a beautiful drive up to Mt. Baker.
The place was immaculate and has everything you need--the kitchen is very well equipped, there is a TV with DVD player, and we hooked up our iPad via an HDMI cable. There is also a selection of random movies there. The king size bed is huge, the mattress decent (but after having a tempurpedic, I can never get over the jiggliness of ANY other bed). The hot tub is immaculately clean, though it only goes up to 102° (I prefer 106°). There was also a new BBQ grill which we did not use.
Things to note: the power went out in the entire community and never came back on (went out in middle of night, and we were checking out anyway the next day). However, the gas "wood stove" and the water heater both still functioned. There are battery-powered lanterns provided. Yay! Also, as they note, there is NO WI-FI or cell coverage. There was one random place in the neighborhood where you could get Verizon coverage--very strange.
I was so very happy to get about 20" of snow while we were there. Neighbors told us that was really unusual, though. But I'd definitely stay here again!
