The last few blocks leading to WTI Hotel reminded me many times of our short overnight stays in Bangkok where I used to look up on latestays.com (now taken over by Bookings.com or other websites.) which were often located on very narrow, very rocky streets having many small vendors. IT FELT LIKE HOME. Like our BKK hotels, WTI had a nice entrance, with very quick assistance with many bags, The clerk quickly assigned a room on the ground floor (as requested in the reservation due to our age, not wanting to haul bags up stairs). But this hotel has an elevator! Our room was a little tight, but well equipped, an older refurbished hotel indeed. I always used these standards: The room was cool, (A/C), and quite clean, water was hot, bed firm and comfortable, and safe! What more did we need? Ah yes, we needed to hire a taxi to take us to Agra which the manager quickly arranged for 6AM departure. No sweat! The hotel even has a small restarant on the top floor that we didn't know about upon arrival that was even agreeable to opening very early the next morning before our departure. When we returned from Agra (Taj Mahal) the slow 4 hr return trip left us a bit short of time to get to airport. The manager who kept our bags while we went site seeing simply had the same taxi take us to the airport avoiding having to flag a new text during rush hour. So yes I give this small hotel a very high commendation!
