If you are allergic to CEDAR WOOD/OIL: BEWARE!!
First, the property managers didn't provide check-in details ahead of our arrival and were frustratingly impossible to contact by phone for hours. Once we entered the property, we were confronted with a heavy cloud of Pine-Sol combined with the highly allergenic and asthma-triggering scent of cedar wood paneling (the house's interior is lined with cedar from floor to ceiling). We were denied our request to relocate to another property that wasn't a cedar closet, so I was left to puff my asthma-rescue inhaler all night and cough throughout the day. Cedar wood absorbs moisture, so the air within the house was extremely dry during our stay, giving me nosebleeds every morning. I was miserable every minute inside "Peace of Zen." The house is a cute size (like a studio apartment) and has plenty of kitchen tools. I'll give a positive review to the fenced-in yard — my dog loved it.
The neighborhood is quiet but laced with abandoned properties and mobile homes in various states of disrepair. It *is* a walkable half-mile to downtown Davis' main street with restaurants and shops (most of which are closed Monday-Thursday during the summer). We tried to spend as much of our time as possible outdoors, in lovely WV's lakes and mountains and far away from this poorly conceived, cedar-lined tiny house.
