Renter beware: poor maintenance and property management interaction
Property had an active water leak from the ceiling directly onto the bed during the beginning of our stay, rendering the space uninhabitable for the intended use. I had to vacate the property, as I had two small children who needed a dry bed and bedroom. Despite clear documentation of the issue (videos and photos of the leak) and immediate communication with the provided property management, the responder:- Denied the severity of the documented leak- Suggested I cancel rather than addressing the issue- Refused to provide any compensation for uninhabitable conditions- Claimed my evidence was 'inflated' despite video proofPotential guests should be aware of:1. Maintenance issues may not be addressed promptly2. Documentation of issues may be disputed3. Property management communication may come from multiple points of contact with varying personalities and professionalism (or lack thereof)3. Lack of resolution through proper channels (VRBO dispute process)I attempted to resolve this through both property management and VRBO's official channels before leaving this review.
