「Loved this guest house as so quiet and tranquil. The views are fabulous and the walks from the house beautiful. A hearty breakfast every day freshly cooked all locally sourced. The house is very clean and so welcoming, you feel at home straight away. I would recommend to anyone and shall be staying again.」

「Nice clean pub rooms. Small but secure with refurbed bathrooms. Warm and quite comfortable. A pretty standard double bed but still sleep worthy. Staff were very helpful and happy to assist. No lifts as stated but we were able to leave most of our luggage in the car. Dinner is limited as the cook called in sick but there’s a few budget options nearby. Just avoid the kebabs. Great location to visit the Fyrish monument. Value for money this stay. 」

「Something very different for two oldies to experience. We were in the smallest accommodation, I assume, and the problem would have been in making up the bed had we not been pretty fit. Very compact, comfortable and a nice breakfast, on request, brought to the cabin by friendly people.」

「This would actually be a review of the Morangie Hotel in Tain. We were informed just a few weeks before our trip that they have repairs that needed to be done in the Mansfield hotel and that they transferred us to another hotel without an offer of a refund. The Morangie Hotel was a nice looking manor and had lovely stag head and Jacobite sword memerobilia. However shrouded in tacky halloween decorations and buckets laid about to catch leaks around the hotel. It wasn’t the stay we were expecting....

「This is one of those special places that is worth the trek. Once you step foot into the front door it feels as if you’ve stepped back into a different time. The finishes are all rich and appropriate and the town itself is adorable. Service is outstanding, bed was delicious and would go out of my way to stay here again!! True luxe on a small scale! A bit difficult to find which bldg to check in so ask for clear directions prior to check in. 」
